Clinical Counselling

Dr Sean Larsen

Dr. Sean Larsen has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in mental health, with a strong focus on anxiety, stress, trauma, and emotional regulation. His clinical work and national presentations have centered on how the developing brain responds under pressure, and how stress and emotions can impact performance.

While newer to formal performance coaching, Sean brings a highly relevant brain-based perspective to sport. His background working with young people facing high anxiety gives him deep insight into what happens in the brain during competition, injury, failure, and high expectations. As a mental performance coach, he helps athletes build awareness, regulation skills, confidence, and resilience, while also supporting families in creating environments that foster long-term wellbeing.

Outside of work, Sean is a self-described mediocre skier and pretty okay mountain biker who loves being outdoors, slowly improving at meaningful things, and sharing the journey with others.
